No subs and no ads would be great.
- nomel 4y agoI think that would be better covered by a "one time purchase" option. Otherwise, you're asking for either a "starve the dev" category, or something shadier like "show all apps that monetize my location".
- nickthegreek 4y agoNo reason not to give the end use the flags for searching. You either get results or you don't. If someone wants to make a simple calculator and not charge for it, they should be allowed to do so and ideally apple will give the tools to the user to find such an app. Also, devs still do put ads in some purchasable apps So just having a "one time purchase" toggle doesnt solve the problem.
- hackernewds 4y agoThere are models that work with barely any ads and subs. Google Maps is a great example.
- colejohnson66 4y agoGoogle Maps is full of ads. They’re just not the kind you’re used to. The POI it decides to show is partially a money game.
- nomel 4y agoGoogle Maps has heavy monetization of location.
- cyral 4y agoGoogle could lose money on maps purely to get you to use their services
