Personally I don't think our jobs are at risk, but perhaps some junior-level positions might have a reduction in volume.
More than anything, I see this type of system being used in combination with a system like Github Copilot to produce much more useful suggestions through feedback loop.
Things that used to be long, annoying-but-easy tasks may be offloaded to ML.
Remember that GPT is ultimately a very fancy Markov chain. It does not and cannot reason. It's more likely to replace busywork and give engineers better time to work on important architectural features.
