The way I like to think about AI is to think about it in 3 dimensions. There are 3 dimensions to any machine: input, implementation, and output. So something like DALLE has very impressive implementation-level intelligence. But as everyone knows by now, it still takes a crafty human to create the necessary input. In my opinion, “turning complex requirements into functionally correct code” is an input problem, and I think AI has a loooong way to go on that front.
