It depends more on manufacturer/series/batch. In my experience good HDDs easily last 10+ years.

It depends more on manufacturer/series/batch. In my experience good HDDs easily last 10+ years.
- fshr 4y agoThat guy was claiming 34 years of use. The disks would be incredibly low capacity compared to today.
- recycledmatt 4y agoYou also tend to see a higher rate of failure in the first few years which then drops off over time
