Perhaps this is a Chess move to get the public to call for the end of anonymous posting online, which serves the purpose of the authoritarians who would love to be able to send 'educators' to your house to re-educate you on correctness of your views.
- alkonaut 4y agoI think in regimes where that's a large risk, the regime doesn't need this to spy on you. if you e.g. are forced to run a government issued smartphone app and there are cameras at every street corner, the system is already pretty dystopian. It's where there isn't already a surveillance state that we may want to look out and not create one.
