Show HN: Sendie – A microblog website, Twitter alternative
This is probably something everyone has thought about. I was just sick and tired of the drama on twitter, so I sat down and just built my own.
- achairapart 4y agoOut of curiosity: Are your current users AI generated? Anyway, I think there is, or at least should be, a lot of space for independent/niche socials. They may be less or even no lucrative at all, but its users will gain so much in terms of privacy, signal-to-noise ratio and, in the end, much better quality content and overall experience.
- rc_kas 4y agoNo AI. There are just a few friends who are being nice to me and posting so that I have some content to test with and develop against. Also a couple users from random internet spots. I'll keep developing it even if no users, it's been a very fun project. I have so many ideas for little features to tinker with.
- auct 4y agoOne thing that is missing - verified blue mark ;)
- auct 4y agoI can't register:( Allow 4 chars username. At least for an hour
- rc_kas 4y agoI was very much hoping to offer 4 letter usernames as a paid feature that would support running the site.
