I Think you also need to consider that almost all of the people involved most likely had good intentions. It's not like they cam together and decided to fuck up some kids. They truly thought that this what was medically correct to do. And they were supported by scientist at the time. It's horrible what happened but I also think it's wrong for people to be blamed for following standard medical practice at the time.
