False advertising is rampant. Amazon has misleading advertising for local storage on their Blink cameras. They claim to support local storage, but use the subscription (trial) features for 3 months before dropping you into a degraded (local) experience with no thumbnails or bulk deletion of videos. It’s complete trash and, IMO, an intentional scam to deceive users for long enough that they feel like they can’t ask for a refund. I don’t get the thumbnail thing either. They don’t need to put thumbnails online. At the very most the only thing they need is to relay your (encrypted) data to get around firewall related issues.
