I’ve always thought that crypto ideology was the male behavioral equivalent of women’s woke ideology. They’re both at the forefront of culture and promise a better tomorrow though it’s easy to be skeptical about them and unsurprisingly it turns out they’re filled with grifters.
- sdwr 4y agoGreat observation, I've never thought about it like that before. Both involve emotional investment in an external, somewhat hazy "cause". I feel that way about programming - feel like I've invested so much time and identity into it that I need it to stay meaningful to maintain my sense of self.
