- cafard 4y agoThe fiber optic joke had a previous life as a deck of cards joke: when you get lost, lay out a hand of solitaire, and in a minute or two a kibitzer will tell you the move to make. That version goes back more than fifty years, for an acquaintance heard it from her father when Bishop James Pike got lost in the desert and died. (But I do love the fiber optic version.)
