I'm naive in this space, but is the more "correct" solution to directly publish the content to the fediverse via ActivityPub, instead of plugging an RSS feed into IFTTT and plugging IFTTT into Mastodon's API to... publish the content to the fediverse via ActivityPub? Like with Bridgy Fed[1] or even just Bridgy[2] if all you want to do is syndicate to an existing fedi account?

- remram 4y agoThose seem to require that your site support WebMention.
- AndrewDucker 4y agoIf your site supports that, sure. But if you've got things on sites that don't support that, or if you want to aggregate various sources in one place, then most places support RSS so that's an easy way to get them onto your account.
