Just a comment .. looking at salary in tech is silly. Lets ignore benefits which are likely impossible to quantify. Most tech workers in hi-fi companies and roles get stock (even I don't understand how to properly value but big diff if publicly traded or not). The other massive component is bonuses. I've seen numbers from 10-30% and am sure there are more. The next thing is hiring bonus. Final thing I am aware of is long-term retention bonuses. It is complicated for a reason .. if you just ask me for my salary that will likely be half of what these other factors provide. Cost-of-living in your area, Years of experience and Education are also key factors to balance.
