- reaperducer 4y agoMinor nitpick - 2G hasn't shut down, and the way things are it probably never will. AT&T's 2G network shut down January 1, 2017. The old Sprint 2G network shut down at the end of May. T-Mobile's 2G GSM and Verizon's 2G network shut down at the end of this month.
