Getting rid of pay phones made sense. Getting rid of phone booths, especially in airports and hotel lobbies/meeting rooms, did not. I was delighted to see that the new Delta lounge at LAX includes closed, soundproofed cubicles with a stool and small desk area. People can now just go in there and do their meetings without bothering everyone else in the place.
