Apple has already gone through this of course, and I wonder if it’s going to happen again. And I wonder if a company can survive it. It certainly almost killed Apple the first time, and required Jobs’ return to steer it away from the cliff (I suspect that only someone charismatic like Jobs, in a strongly loyal-customer-base company like Apple could pull it off) I think we’re probably still a good 5 years away from something like that.
