I'm launching climatelink, it's basically trying to be the Techmeme for climate.
The problem we’re trying to solve is that today, really great climate change insights are just hard to find.
Most good reporting lives behind paywalls, making it less accessible. Scientists share thoughts on Twitter, Mastodon and other social media, where they can be hard to find. A lot of discussion happens on Slack channels that nobody has time to read through. Some of the best climate content lives in podcasts, which are awesome but not easy to scan. More fantastic climate writing happens in climate newsletters, but who can subscribe to them all.
Great content, new ideas, breakthrough research and incredible insights are everywhere, but hard to find if you are not an insider.
Climatelink will work with a small group of volunteer editors to share the most interesting topics, conversations, insights and science in climate and biosphere. Content won’t live here, we will link to everyone.
Our mission is to make great climate thinking more accessible.
