Could we make `4DWW` an explicit tag?
Four Day Work Week is the most alluring feature for a job for me (besides 100% remote). It's the only feature that could pull me away from current employment.
- bbor 4y agoI’m just rabble rousing but maybe a better name is needed. 4DWW could mean 40h (4x10) or 32h, which is a huge difference. I’m assuming you’re referring to the second? Maybe the former will fall out fashion eventually, but whenever I hear discussion of 4DWW it’s usually that one
- yboris 4y agoIt's 4 days of 8h each (32h total) with no loss of pay. https://www.4dayweek.com/ https://www.4dayweek.com/ > The 4 day week is a reduction in the work week from a standard 40 hours to 32 hours for the same pay and benefits. I think this is now the standard interpretation of 4DWW - as that's all I see in news articles about the global movement.

- faxmeyourcode 4y agoYeah, I had a job once that had every Friday between memorial day and labor day off. It was awesome! If the pay would have been competitive I would have stayed forever.
- laweijfmvo 4y agoif the pay had been competitive with companies that required employees to work 5 days, or 80% of that?
- roflyear 4y agoIf I don't get a raise this year I'm going to demand having Fridays off.
