A metaverse, not Meta's metaverse. That's precisely the kind of confusion FB hoped for when they changed names, much like people that confuse git with GitHub.
In particular, they contracted a German company to build a digital space. What a waste of our money.
- WastingMyTime89 4y agoWeirdly, I wish they had actually parterned with a competent digital marketing company and spent the money on an event in Fortnite. It would have made Epic richer, an idea I dislike but at least it would have effectively reached their target audience.

- sharperguy 4y agoIt's more like the other way around. Nobody used the term "metaverse" until Facebook's announcement.
