This feels very Soap Opera and not like a real dispute. What is going on?

  My guess is that Elon wanted some concession on the 30% App Store cut. He probably got it. In exchange he will stop going after Apple.

    Highly unlikely. That would open Apple up to way more anti-competitive suits from other companies

      Apple has carveouts to take less for other major companies.

    Not to get all Tin foil hat, but Is there any other evidence this meeting actually happened? Tim didn’t even meet with Elon over an offer to sell Tesla.
