The analogy doesn't have to hold on every possible behavior of the two entities compared for OP to have a valid point.
- aroma_mic 4y agoSame could be said for Nintendo or Sony, who assert the same control. Most of the money made is on games.
- wepple 4y agoAgreed, but I was pointing out one of many significant differences. I was generally pointing out that the analogy has extremely tenuous overlap. Comparing a software ecosystem to an authoritative regime is a very big call, only one step away from the classic “x is basically hitler”
