The Portland Group's Accelerator compilers already support pragma-based markup of code for offload to accelerators (GPGPUs). OpenMP is considering adding accelerator support in 4.0. In the meantime, NVIDIA and friends are having a go at specifying semi-standard pragma-based accelerator support with OpenACC.
