Is anyone actually surprised by this? Influencers get paid to promote all sorts of products these days, and I'm sure they use practically none of them. You think all these celebrities were actually paying for things using their shitty pump n dump crypto tokens? Influencers and influencer marketing is a very new thing and in time I'd expect ethics to develop around these roles, but for now it's the wild west and if anything I'd say products advertised by influencers are a red flag.
