- autotune 4y agoI count 16 separate posts on twitter for something that could have been more readily digested as a single blog post. The author has a blog at https://samcurry.net/blog https://samcurry.net/blog, why not create a blog post and link to it in a single tweet? Parsing it in its current form flairs up my ADD to the point I can barely follow along.
- DiabloD3 4y agoI suspect he does this because being popular on Twitter is more important than having a popular blog. "The Algorithm" is hands down the dumbest thing we've ever invented, and is destroying the Internet. Want to read/see something interesting? Nope! Want to microdose something that might be interesting, and now you're too deep to bail because you're 16 tweets deep? Okay!
- retox 4y agoMusk has talked about adding 'creator' features as part of his larger plans to make twitter solvent. I imagine in the near future we will see long form blog posts supported with a premium model akin to Medium, with twitter taking a cut from subscriptions. Same for video and possibly live streaming but that seems like it would be further out if it ever arrives.
- autotune 4y agoWhatever he goes with as far as either successfully destroying twitter or implementing this creator feature is fine with me, as long as he sees one of them through to completion.
