Some people want to go back, but forcing return to offices is a hostile act to me. There is literally nothing companies can do to get me to return to an in office requirement. Wfh for me is saving over 10 hours a week in commuting that I am able to reinvest into mental healthcare and hobbies that dramatically improved my life. Everytime these stupid articles come about: hey, don't you want to go back to mandated office time? The answer is hell no. Let's tax my wellbeing so assholes can justify their non earning assets or inability to cope. Not my problem, and should my employer attempt to infringe on my life then I will find a new path.
I've been called entitled. Whatever, but at least I'm happy and more importantly productive. Anecdotally, I am more productive than our sleazy wanting to mandate returns to office for all middle manager.
