Ask HN: How do you report review fraud to Amazon?
Reading the comments of this C Programming book, they're obviously fake/bot generated:

Obviously they've taken real reviews and put them through a thesaurus to avoid duplication detection.
I could find no way to notify Amazon about this fraud.
- rdtwo 4y agoAmazon promotes and encourages this type of garbage as it sells more product. Business as usual
- solardev 4y agoAmazon don't give a damn. They thrive on the appearance of community involvement, even if it's mostly spammers and bots. You can get the fakespot browser extension for yourself but don't bet on Amazon changing anything. It's part of their business model.
- LinuxBender 4y agoIn this particular case I would prefer that fakespot had a URL submission form on their website to paste in an Amazon link and give feedback on it rather than have something in my browser. I use different computers for different purposes. This computer has loads of addons but I log into HN and nothing else. If something went wrong I could reach out to dang. On the computer I use for Amazon it only one addon as Amazon treat privacy minded people as criminals. Amazon don't give a damn. This I can agree with. I've spent too many hours on the phone with different support teams. The only team that actually appeared to care was their shipping/logistics team and I think I just got lucky to find one good person. She was clearly overworked as any time I called she was the same person that answered every time.
