I mostly don't care about people losing money who decided to gamble on obviously ultra speculative investments like shitcoins but the story of Axie is particularly sad and egregious. It was aggressively marketed as a way out of poverty for people in the Phillipines, many of whom invested all of the very little they had in this shitcoin and did not have the educational background to understand the risk they were taking on. Axie is truly evil.
