Ask HN: Multi time zone remote work
Just curious to know how many people here are having to span multi time zones at their companies in a remote work environment? It seems like companies that were previously multi-timezone had some sort of overlap that expected employees in remote regions to coordinate with the mothership but now things have gone fully remote it's worse.
Can anyone confirm?
- Shinmon 4y agoMost companies just don't have any idea how to manage remote teams at all. The transition is definitely is not easy for companies who did not have a remote culture in place already. I guess some overlap is beneficial because sometimes meetings are just necessary, but in a remote work setting a lot of work should be as async as possible in my opinion.
