All I know is that the mother doesn't usually wander too far from the nest, and they will attack people trying to take those eggs.
They will also attack the pickup truck you ran back into.
- PaulHoule 4y agoMy anecdotal reports are that two people have no trouble taking eggs if one of them is armed with a stick and shoos them away while the other person takes two eggs. Those poachers try to take no more than two eggs. They have walked back 1500 feet to the car and not been chased. I am told the eggs make a good binder for Pierogi and who could make something like that up?
