- krapp 4y agoLol, no it isn't. Hacker News is one of the most aggressively curated forums on the internet. Did you think this was a laissez-faire free speech platform? The mods suppress stories and comments here all the time for any number of reasons. In this specific case though I would agree with the other commenter that it's likely just a delay.
- gus_massa 4y ago[dead] comments and post are not shown by algolia and the api. If you want to see them in the main site, you should enable "showdead" in your profile. Bust this post is about a post that is not [dead], so it should be shown in the search. It's probably just a delay in the index as other user said.
- mtmail 4y agoThe search index isn't updated fast enough, we can check that by searching for any story currently on /new. No need to come up with censorship theories.
