Apple has removed all tweets from its Twitter Account
- mmastrac 4y agoNo. They haven't tweeted... ever. https://web.archive.org/web/20220417162528/https://twitter.com/Apple https://web.archive.org/web/20220417162528/https://twitter.c... Their tweets are sponsored and don't appear on the timeline.
- anthonymcl 4y agoThanks for the correction.
- version_five 4y agoIf this is true the post should probably be deleted or the title corrected to reflect the truth
- ShoulderRide 4y agoCame here to say this.
- cheapliquor 4y agoNot directing this at OP but seems like someone's just trying to stoke the flames even more to fuel the Elon vs. Apple debacle that's been popular today.
- mikece 4y agoIt wasn't until this whole "Apple might remove Twitter from the App Store" noise started that I realized iOS had full PWA support. If Apple does boot Twitter Elon might just enlighten a lot of app developers that they could be paying 0% to Apple instead of 30% and still get a rich app experience.
- cheerioty 4y agoOh, I would like myself a massive push for PWA apps!
- bobinator2 4y agoIt doesn't. Developers build native apps for push notifications. Nothing else gives higher engagement and retention.
- hcurtiss 4y agoI was surprised when the only way to purchase the new Twitter Blue was through Apple. I tried to pay on the Twitter website so that Apple wouldn’t take 1/3 (I’m one of the few who is excited about what Musk is doing) but the only way to pay was with an Apple sub. Which is odd because I was a Twitter Blie subscriber before and paid through the website, so I know the infrastructure was there. As I recall, they used Stripe.
- badwolf 4y agoiOS16 will also be adding push notification capabilities for Safari/browser apps.
