Well, after that image scanning story I've switched to Android with CalyxOS and later migrated to GrapheneOS. Also migrated most of my workflows from MacOS to NixOS. Can't be happier. It's not painful at all to drop Apple phones. And the only thing which is constantly bugging me on NixOS desktop is totally inconsistent hotkeys system. So, it's not that hard drop Apple, just do it.
