Does still-active capsaicin taken orally enter the body and affect vanilloid receptors systemically to a significant extent though? Seems like if it's just about the ability to trigger a signal at the peripheral side of some sensory nerves, that's quite a bit of stretch to "psychoactive substance", to the point that the same argument applies to e.g. photons.
