I use a handful of Acurite 6044M temperature and humidity sensors strewn throughout my house and an Acurite 0829 outside for this purpose with rtl_433, influx DB, and Grafana for viewing. These sensors last a long time on battery and transmit frequently (~30s IIRC)
- flyinghamster 4y agoI've got a couple of sensors set up, one in the basement and one in the porch, with MRTG/rrdtool and a hacked CGI script doing likewise, running on a Raspberry Pi 3. There are a few neighboring units that I have to filter out as well.
- heywire 4y agoNice. I’ve been wanting to go with something simpler and lighter than Influx and Grafana, but the setup was so dang easy, and rtl_433 as InfluxDB support built in, so I went the lazy route :)
