- black6 4y agoProducers go through not insignificant effort to reduce and eliminate the stress of slaughter on meat animals. Suffering results in stress which results in poor quality meat (tasteless and tough), and millions of dollars worth of meat is tossed out annually due to pre-slaughter stress.
