Right, once you get in then the lack of a degree can become a problem. I think some places are having a hard time filling positions (like help desk call center) type things. For most of those jobs there are 100's of scripts that the desks follow (I used to write scripts so we tried to cover everything). So there wasn't a lot of college skills needed. People pick up pretty quick on what works and can make that their goto.
