For example: members of the Satmar dynasty. A significant number of non-Hasidic Jews in the US are descendants of holocaust survivors who immigrated after World War 2. This includes, children of survivors, grandchildren of survivors, and great-grandchildren of survivors. I assure you, the Holocaust remains a very difficult subject for many Jewish families, including mine, and it also affects a lot of Jewish families who weren't directly affected.
