Senator calls for end to ‘failed Big Tech self-regulation’ after Musk snub
- cf100clunk 4y agoThe billionaire had until November 25th to answer questions about Twitter’s verification process.
- sylware 4y agoTo regulate them (usually vanguard/blackrock steered companies), you would have to enforce "technical stability in time and technical simplicity (but able to do a good enough job)". It is not that easy, because a lot of their money is directly stolen via "planned obsolescence" or on-purpose mis-management or on-purpose lack of resources in order to produce mediocre products which will imply a lot of post iterations, ofc each iteration would not be "free". They abuse the word "innovation" to hide their mischiefs. In conspiracy mode, it does go even further: they would pay the hackers which would force those iterations to happen, or shoke the alternatives which cannot have enough resources to defend themselves.

- tapoxi 4y agoHe jumped on Twitter because someone impersonated him, a sitting senator, with a "verified" account. I'm pretty sure Eli Lilly and other companies/individuals want answers too.
