At HEB, the primary grocery store chain in Texas, there are 2-3 different basic chicken breast packages. They're all found as the same product when ordering a curbside pickup order online, but one has 1% added water content and others have up to 15%.
So they're all $3/lb but one has 14% less meat for the price, and it's not possible to determine which you're getting when you order online.
Additionally, the ones with >4% added water content dont brown well on the stove, they just kind of internally boil.
