Taiwanese are advocating for a peaceful resolution of their issue with China, some were opposed to the visit [2]
The US should have spent their time building trust with Taiwanese instead of using them to defy China
As always, it's important to cover both sides, otherwise you end up looking like a fool whenever the wind isn't blowing in the direction you were hoping for

- clouddrover 4y agoPeaceful resolution is simple: China can resolve to recognize Taiwan's independence and leave Taiwan alone. But China won't do that.
- Kukumber 4y agoLet Taiwan resolve that like a sovereign nation Otherwise it's US (actually commonwealth) influence vs China influence Taiwan is culturally closer to China then to the US
