  You mean SSH port forwarding? Since applications could be other than SSH.

    No. I only work with console or web apps. Mostly console. So literally just Ssh

    ssh -X for those couple of GUI apps that need to be run remotely. It's not great, but it's not terrible either?

      Yeah, an advantage of ssh tunneling is that, you can jump through any number of hosts, and still get end to end encryption.
