Theft is justified when the playing field is not fair, and when one party has vastly more leverage. You can't say the hungry are not justified in stealing when the rulers take their labor by force.

- hluska 4y agoSeek help?? I find it quite ironic that anyone who would get this angry on an Internet forum would suggest that anyone else seek help. Please relax. This level of anger will shorten your life (and makes for a really awful forum). These personal attacks are several levels beyond acceptable.
- leethaxor 4y agoThis is why the managers are on us with grooming and estimations and then are unhappy when every minute is not accounted for. Stop stealing, you're making the job much worse for the others - and that's what actually shortens our lives.
- b112 4y agoPersonal attack? I am criticizing poor, repungnant, disgusting advocacy, and support, of theft. Next people will get upset if I call rapists, or murderers, or assaultist scum. Thieves deserve to be called out. And whomever flagged me is scum themselves.
- hluska 4y agoAnd you’re only getting worse. This is unacceptable.
- b112 4y agoIt is absolutely acceptable to call people out, for supporting crimes. Absolutely. There is precedence to charge a person, criminally, with a breach of trust, for working two jobs at the same time. Not back to back, at the same time. And people are advocating that in these threads. Making ridiculous excuses. Trying to reason it as ok. I hope anyone doing this is charged, convicted, hopefully making them unemployable. Anyone knowingly helping a co-worker to commit such crimes, covering for them, lying on their behalf, hopefully would be charged as an accessory. If anything is unacceptable in this thread, it is attitudes such as yours.
- The_Colonel 4y agoI think this sort of argumentation stops working with a starving $200K earner being forced to fraud to earn a meager livable $440K.
- welshwelsh 4y agoThat 200K earner likely produces much more than 200K in value. They are a victim of theft from their employers, who steal their excess value. Livability has nothing to do with it.
- notahacker 4y agoIt's not "theft" to pay someone the compensation they agreed to receive, any more than it's theft to buy an item for what the shop agrees to sell it at (which will also be less than you actually value it at, unless you're very bad at purchasing decisions...) There are situations where people accepting a certain job at a certain wage might do so with somewhat less than free choice (that's where livability comes in), but that doesn't include ones where they've got another job paying $200k.
- The_Colonel 4y ago> That 200K earner likely produces much more than 200K in value. Of course, the business has to live from something, accept the risks. The point is that these are not people driven to the corner who have no other option to survive than to steal. These people have enough funds to start their own businesses, but I guess defrauding is easier.
- another_story 4y agoAt what point do we stop cheering on businesses that find ways to extract more value from their employees?
