Im still not sure why a company that's hosted in Australia, with a thoroughly awful legal system for digital privacy by the standards of other western-style democracies, is recommended so much. I can understand its other benefits and have no direct criticism of the company itself, but that legal detail isn't a minor one for anyone who wants to leave behind Google's pervasively privacy-parasitic garbage.
- holigot 4y agoAs far as I understand it isn't that interesting. Most of the laws don't apply to Fastmail. Maybe I'm wrong.
