It's painful how slow we're coming to realize the concept of "how much screen time?" has been asking the wrong question.
Isn't a piece of paper just another screen?
Isn't a book just another screen?
What about e-paper?
Is playing a physical piano better than playing a virtual one using a screen?
There's nothing wrong with having screen time. What matters is what type of activities people do on their screens.
- shahar2k 4y agonone of those except MAYBE piano actively engage with the viewr / user to keep their attention / maintain a dopamine loop in the same way as interactive devices. I say that as someone who'se worked on both films and games and there's just something about interactivity that has a huge leg up over all the other ones in retaining attention.
