- JCharante 4y agoWhat are the bonus payments? I’m used to environments where bonuses are hoped for but not expected. Did Foxconn promise and then renege?

- mensetmanusman 4y agoMost of China supports extreme measures to suppress tens of millions if it means preventing Covid for a billion. The flaw in their reasoning is that Covid can be prevented forever. The longer China imposed extreme lockdowns, the more that people who support this utilitarian calculus will experience what it’s like to be on the wrong side of the boot. This probably won’t have political consequences due to the extreme party power in existence, but it will make it harder to reverse their collapsing demographics due to mass demoralization.
