Maybe I’m in the minority, but I always prefer to switch to the native YouTube app instead of using Safari. Of course you can’t block the ads then.

Maybe I’m in the minority, but I always prefer to switch to the native YouTube app instead of using Safari. Of course you can’t block the ads then.
- JerryB77 4y agoUsing Safari also lets you do background play with iOS's integration by un-pausing the video in the control menu once you exit Safari. Normally it's a premium feature. Fortunately, the quality difference doesn't affect this.
- behnamoh 4y agoI wouldn't be surprised if Google somehow made YT's web version slow and annoying to use.
- sneakerblack 4y agoI just use newpipe honestly. All the goodies of YouTube (including background playback and PiP!) without all the ads
