- 082349872349872 4y agothe logistics of plowing also inspired the definition of the acre (1 furlong x 1 chain), leading to my favourite freedom unit: irrigation volumes measured in acre-feet, where the unit "cube" is 1 furlong x 1 chain x 1 foot.
- StrictDabbler 4y agoI tend to read very quickly. I often wonder if people who read more slowly have a different emotional experience. In particular, reading quickly through visual descriptions doesn't give my brain enough time to really build up an image. This seems like a good way to slow down. It would be nice if it rasterized the text and flipped it pixel-wise instead, though. The mix of reverse characters that are exact ('b' and 'd') with characters that can be approximated ('f' and 't') and characters that have no mirror ('y' and 'g') is unsettling.
