How does performance compare to Linux-without-Windows?
My understanding is that anything that writes lots of files (e.g. `git checkout`) is really slow, because AV scanners block when you close a file.
Is that still the case? Not the case anymore? Never the case in the first place?
- IronWolve 4y agoI was playing with stable diffusion in ubuntu in wsl2 and/in windows 11, the hash rate seemed comparable.
- zamadatix 4y agoThey try to cover the confusing naming towards the end but this refers to what used to be WSL 2 hitting 1.0 and WSL 2 is more a standard VM with a similar performance profile.
