I think it makes sense when you realize that the product (Galactica) and all the messaging around it are just PR - they're communicating to shareholders of a company in deep decline trying to say 'look at the new stuff we're doing, the potential for new business here'. You interrupting the messaging ruins it, so you get some deniable boilerplate response. its not personal.
