I feel like too many people struggle in the same way. Some level of organization is actually required if you don't consider notes as temporary, but as a knowledge base that you'll expand for decades. That being said, organization can be as simple as having 1-3 folders or even less. And tools don't matter that much, as long as they don't lock you in. Trying to find the perfect organization system is just another form of procrastination.
