I often read UUID are a pain to sort for relational database but I've not seen any benchmark. Does anyone have some data on that topic? Thanks!

- samarthr1 4y agoThat depends on the type of uuid used. And whether it is used in an indexed field or not. A timestamp based uuid should not be stored as a byte array. Rather, it should be reordered slightly to make it lexicographically sortable
- feydaykyn 4y agoWhy not store it as a byte array? Thanks for the pointers!
